Infinity Quantum 2s

For some reason they look to short to be Q2's. They look more like 3's. But maybe it's just the picture.

You may be right, I dont see the lip on the base that the 1s and 2s have. The picture could be a bit better, Still if I was looking these are certainly better than most newer models.

It would have been better if the seller had the grills off. I sold my 1s for 4 times that price but they were completely restored with a fresh recap and all NOS middomes.

I really must resist the Quantum gravity urge to splurge on these.:D

Who keeps the grills on Quantums anyway? Thats just weird, I guess they dont have cats!:D

They are probably Q2s. It's hard to tell because nothing is in there for scale. The risers aren't that big but you can tell there's still there (plus they're on carpet).

The grills are held on by plastic velcro tabs with four posts on each corner of the speaker.

I still have mine and love them, but they're not my main speakers anymore.

Looks right to me! That's a very nice deal on some great sounding speakers. I can't tell you how happy it makes me that JBL, Klipsch, etc are so sought after. Infinity speakers just don't seem to have quite the same draw which works out well for those who like excellence on a budget!

What are your main speakers these days 70'sGuy . . . JBL's? I have a pair of Q2's in great cosmetic condition, but they need some work. 3 emits are not functioning on one and they both need mid-domes (1 each).

Currently, a pair of Dahlquist DQ-10s are my main speakers since I bought them about a year ago. The were recapped with Solen caps and sound great. I listen mostly to vinyl (have boxed my 600+ CDs temporarily) and so far these are the best I've heard. They don't have the bottom end like the Q2s have, but are more than adequate especially for jazz and classical. I even have the Dahlquist sub and electronic crossover, but didn't like it.

I had one a couple of emit go out on me and also one midrange. Was able to find them on Ebay, so they're working perfectly now. Not sure if I'll ever sell the Q2s, they're one of two pairs that the wife will allow in the main room - the other pair are Vandersteen 2Ce speakers. The Q2s are not only a great sounding speaker, but IMO a beautiful piece of furniture.
