Whatever surround they used to repair it last time, it wasn't the correct one. Either that or it was really badly done.

But yes, this is a good deal.
 
Pictures I've found of Q3s show both paper and poly woofers. Can you share more info on why this are incorrect?

The part number is not a valid Watkins woofer Google it and you will find an image showing the full back and it is not a Dual voice coil speaker.
I have both paper and poly versions of the Watkins woofers so that is not the issue.

I almost made an offer but I thought something was wrong and I did a search.
 
The 451---- number is on many Watkins woofers of the paper variety. Many magnet sizes and styles of that woofer. Some have the flats as pictured and same basket. My bet is they were Watkins. Anyway, they are gone. Hopefully they will bring some quantum lover joy...

I see, that one has the same number as the one in the auction. The infinity Watkins number that I found is 4514527. It is the older paper cone and looks identical to the one in the auction. That is a shame.
 
I have some Q5 with paper and have done some research and have read that the paper is far superior than the plastic.
