Infinity Reference 60 or Canton Ergo SC-L

Hi everyone,

I was planning on replacing my current Infinity Reference 60s (EMIT-R tweeters) with new Elac Uni-Fi Slims, but let's just say that my budget shrunk, and I had to buy a separate power amp (Emotiva BasX 300).

I am, however, within range of a pair of (mint condition!) Canton Ergo SC-L, which I have heard on my own Marantz UD7007, but sadly connected to the owner's Luxman LV120 (which I do not want to hate too much on, but it sounded kind of tinny, regardless of the manual corrections I made).

I could not take my amp / receiver combo to the owner, nor could I bring the cantons over :(

Since I could not hear the speakers on my current setup, in short, should I keep the Reference 60s, or should I switch to the Cantons?

My setup is:

Marantz UD7007 universal player & Marantz CD6005 CD-player
Marantz SR5011 surround receiver
Emotiva BasX 300 (pre-amped by the Marantz, but I run Pure Direct for music)
2 x 4m Klotz Cables

I do not care about movie performance right now, just music, without subwoofer, of course :)

PS: Although the sound of the Luxman was disappointing, I kind of liked the Cantons, a lot!

Bought the Cantons :) they sound wonderful, highs are different from the Infinitys, but overall sound is significantly better.
