infinity reference five versus polk monitor series

Hey,

I know this is a weird and specific question and comparison but im stuck going back and fourth between the infinity reference series and the polk monitors (primarily the 5 and 7) for people that have heard both what do you think?

my thing right now is -
infinity reference fives have better tweeters than the polks out of the box but the polks are slightly smaller and have a lot of documentation/community support which i really like since these speakers are old as hell

what do you think?

This is where you have to discover your listening priorities and preferences. As you listen to each speaker, which one puts you most at ease? Sometimes the speaker that seems more detailed and exciting might end up irritating and fatiguing you. I have not used but a few Polks and I felt they used the tweeter to help fill in the top of the midrange, so sibilance (that Sss on vocals) was too obvious and the midrange driver didn't handle the whole vocal, so there was less 'human-ness' so to speak. As you can tell from my AK name, I have found little to dislike about Infinity. :>) Listening comes down to meeting you where you are now and as your experience grows, you may desire to follow the upgrade trail, but if you find happiness now, just relax and enjoy. A system should help you reduce stress and process emotions through the music that moves you. Both brands have big followings, so you will always someone out there to help.
