It is a good deal up to he says voice coil rub. Since he says that he just refoamed the woofers that could be the problem. Improper alignment.
If it werent for that Id say go for it all day long. Being that there might be a bad woofer, you may have to replace one and maybe it might just be refoaming it properly.
Its up to you finally to either say no or take a chance. The voice coil rub worries me though and since he says that hes played past it, that really worries me.
Im sure others that are much more experienced will chime in, as Im hardly a pro nor claim to be, but thats my .02.
