Infinity RS-10b Crossover Replacement (?)

I am planning to replace the main driver (6.5") in each of a pair of vintage Infinity RS-10b speakers. It is my plan to replace the existing 4 ohm drivers with new 8 ohm drivers. Given that the existing speaker unit specs. are as follows:

Infinity RS-10b
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
Frequency Response 59Hz - 22kHz (+/-3dB)
Crossover Frequency(ies) 3.5kHz
Recommended Power Amplifier Range 15 - 65 watts per channel
Nominal Impedance 4 - 8 ohms
Woofer 6.5" polypropylene
Tweeter 0.75" polycell

... couple of questions:

1) Is there any actual requirement that I replace the existing crossovers (... if the Nominal Impedance is "4 to 8 ohms") or what would be a your best recommendation here?

2) Even if I do not have to replace the existing crossovers, I would like to know about recommended crossover products for this sort of DIY\replacement work ... so ... Where would I find such products?

I am brand new to DIY audio so hopefully this will be a good starting project and yes, please let me know if I can provide any further information.

What are you trying to accomplish by replacing the woofers? This is generally a bad idea unless you've exhausted all avenues of repairing or replacing the stock woofers and you know exactly what you're doing.

Yes, you will need to modify or replace the crossover, and chances are you'll have to roll your own since it's unlikely that you'll find a premade one with the specs required for these disparate (i.e. the existing tweeter and your new 8 ohm woofer) drivers.

+1, not a good idea to replace woofer +crossover . Very little chances of success. Pre made crossovers don't work. They simply don't work. A crossover is calculated from the driver's parameters, so it's not possible to buy a crossover that will work with any speaker.

I think replacing your woofer with another one of the same type (used), or fixing yours with the proper parts are better projects, with a much better result at the end.
