Infinity RS 2.5`s

I have been enjoying listening to vintage gear lately and I have been reading here on AK how sweet these RS 2.5`s sound. So, of course I am going to have to find a pair and check them out. My question is , what is it going to cost me for a pair in average cosmetic condition with all the drivers working?
I have not seen any sell anywhere lately.
Thanks for any input that you can offer.

Thanks, but cute isn't the look she was going for. That was my Halloween picture a couple of years ago and I never got around to changing it back.

I should mention that $500 is a bargain you aren't likely to find often, that's just what they are here and now. If I had a spare $500 lying around, they'd already be at my house.

$1000 or more is probably more common.
 
It might depend on where you're located. $500 wouldn't buy a working pair here in the Bay area. I think I paid around that for mine, they had some non working EMITs and the Watkins woofers all needed refoaming. The EMIMs were in good working condition, however.

Around here, you'd be looking at probably $1500 - $2000 for a pair in good working condition. If you can find a pair anywhere for $500, jump on them.

However, they turn up so rarely, that I would suspect that it will all depend on what the seller is asking, wherever you are.

I can tell you that I love mine. I bought them thinking I'd refurb them and then pass them along to a good friend who was looking for something new, he ended up taking a pair of my Martin Logans, and I'm kind of glad. I still can't bring myself to part with them, they're really good.

The RS 2.5, another really fine speaker from Infinity at most any price at which they can be found because this model is quite difficult to find fault.

I have not checked the emits yet with a meter, but I did hear them play at the guys house. I did check the mids and all 4 were at 3.4/3.5 ohms. The Watson`s had been sent back to Bill Watson for a "foam job" several years back. These came with the speakers. I forgot to ask about the badges.

Those look great. Maybe he has the badges and can send them to you. If not they can be found on eBay. They are the bigger ones. How is the foam around the mids and emits on the cabinets. That all can be replaced as well with nearly identical material. Good luck, glad you found a pair.
 
The foam is shot. Man, that stuff is really dirty! looks like coal dust. LOL. Not for long ,I ordered some 1" today from parts express.
