Infinity RS-4b. Local pickup only. It sounds like he might ship them in the listing, but that'd likely cost a small fortune, etc.

Oh yeah. No affiliation, etc. I don't live in Texas, and if I did I wouldn't be posting this...

These could be a good deal for someone if they do a little homework first. If I were a prospective seller, I'd ask to see some pics with the grills off to confirm these are original woofers, and also some close-ups of the mids and tweets.

And these things did NOT sell for >$2,000 new...more like $850/pair (I bought a pair new in 1988 from Crutchfield on sale for $699).

I've been watching this auction myself, simply because I am curious to see how high it will go. I am in Ohio, and just bought a pair of 4bs in near mint condition - just need the woofers re-foamed - via my local CL for $80. I bet these are going to sell for more. Maybe a lot more, but we'll see.

Sold for $174.77, which made me even happier about mine. Can't wait for those new surrounds to arrive in the mail so I can actually give them a listen

I hate that mid. I found entire instruments missing with that speaker. Only reason I didn't keep mine. Cause the bass and highs are nice.

Maybe the Polydomes were damaged/blown on yours? 'Cause I'ved owned both 4b's and IIIb's and have never noted anything like you are describing.

I had 5bs. And no, my pair was perfect. Even the ribbons were spotless and wrinkle free.

Check my prior posts and decide if my opinion can be trusted. But IMHO, next to a Yamaha, dynaco, L112, or Energy, they lack severe detailing in the mid. And it's just the polydome. Swap in another mid, and they really come to life. Or did. Mine are long gone now.
