still a very good price. Beemer's right, the equipment is very important. every change i've made so far has been pretty noticeable, the largest and most beneficial actually being a new preamp.

Someone is going to make a BIG upgrade to their audio system with those. Hope it is an AKer, so we can read all the details! The comments above are correct, though: these speakers DEMAND good sources and amps, to show what they are capable of, and a big enough room, too. They will show you soon --in very unpleasant terms-- what the limits of your mid-fi gear are, too, if you try driving them that way. Get them set up and driven right, though, and there are very few speakers ever made, that can really compare!

On my lifetime list of "holy grail" audio items, just a bit below IRS Vs, and alongside Genesis I and II speakers.

I bought these.... the guy who sold them to me did not crate them properly and cracked both high end panels when he crated them and shipped them to me in venice CA. Luckily I found a set of replacement frames...whew!!! And I bought another complete set..though I need a crossover for the second set.

Finally I will do the double woofer tower set up if only I could find the article telling me how to wire it. Also... wondering if I could run the woofer towers in parallel (I might have to increase the input impedance which would be halved... no idea on how to do this) but what amp could run these in parallel?

I had a set a few years back. Can't imagine 4 columns needed as mine had plenty of slam.

what you have to do first is get another amp, then you just split up the output signal from the EQ. you can't run the towers paralleled from a single amp because that will mess up the impedance that the EQ sees and throw off the feedback loop.
