Infinity RSa Woofer Replacement

Hi guys.
As this is my first thread if I am covering old ground I apologize. First I don't want to let it go unsaid how much I appreciate the courtesy and mature and helpful attidue that I have seen displayed by almost everyone I have read on this sight. I've been involved in amatuer radio (ham radio) for years and can tell you all, you should be proud for conductiing yourselves in this manner. Almost EVERY discussion on these types of sights in ham radio quickly deteroiate into a hateful mess I am sorry to say.
On with the show. I have recently aquired a nice set of Infinity RSa's. Nice except that the woofers are not original. I would like to replace the replacements with originals and recap these also. Does anyone have any information on how I can indentify the correct original woofers for these particular speakers and where a good place would be to aquire them? I mean, I understand EBAY and CR but I don't know what I'm looking for.
Any help would be greaty appreciated. Thanks!

just sold a pair a couple months ago on eBay after the complete pair just languished without a nibble figure around $50 give or take plus shipping
 
btw welcome to ak. We have some contentious threads as well but the moderating staff quckly moves in when it devolves into a mudfest

Just keep watching ebay, they will show up sooner or later.
Probably later now that you're looking. At least that's how it seems when I'm looking for something on there.
Use "Infinity woofer" in the search box when searching either vintage electronics or consumer electronics.
 
FYI, the later production runs of this woofer had a clear poly cone. Same woofer, different color. The part number is 904-2279A. This same woofer was used in several other models, so they show up for sale fairly regularly on eBay. Be patient and you'll get one or two.
 
Well.... No luck as of yet in finding a set of these woofers. I do have the cabs looking good though. No great reflection on me as they were already in pretty good shape. : )
I also need to locate a set of speaker badges. I did recover the grills with a new lighter colored cloth. Much better. The cloth was ratty anyway. I am excited to get these all together actually. My first speaker rebuild. Will deciede on replaceing the caps after I hear them with the proper woofers. Thanks for all the good info.
 
I check ebay almost every day for Infinity speakers and components.
The woofers do come up from time to time. As Tedrick mentioned, there is a newer series of those woofers, though they have clear poly cones instead of the gray opaque ones the RSa's came with.
The original logos are plastic, gold colored, just the Infinity shape, no lettering, no background. Those I have rarely seen on ebay but again, keep checking.
Have you joined Barter Town here ( I know, I keep meaning to myself..) perhaps a post in there might help your search.
