Infinity SM153 Cabinet Paint

I recently received a pair of Infinity SM 153 speakers. The cabinets have a hard textured black plastic covering on then that is marked up and in need of paint job, I think. Does anyone have experience restoring these? Am I thinking in the right direction with painting them, using paint designed for plastics? If so any recommends about what type of paint to use? Gloss, satin, flat?

Any tips would be appreciated.
