They look like the size above the RS 2000, a line which was made in the 1990's. I'd pay $40 for a pair with good surrounds, $20-25 for a pair needing surrounds redone. They have a nice sound to them. I've always been partial to infinity stuff, though. These won't demand Klipsch prices, but they aren't junk.

Yes. The picture I posted was of the 2000's, but my text stated that I thought they were the next size up from the 2000. I just didn't know the model number of the bigger size, off the top of my head. I was just using the 2000 pic to show the shape of the cab, to help him verify it was a set from that line of Infinity speakers... sorry, if my pic threw you off. I didn't make things as clear as it could've been. The text should've been first, then the pic.

And the RS-4000 has the EMIT tweeters...
Definitely RS series from the mid-late 80's through early 90's... based on the size perspective given in the photo, probably an RS 3000 or RS 4000... either would be worth the money asked, but I might (hope) see a glimmer of an EMIT reflecting through the grille of the right speaker in the photo... if it is, it is an RS 4000 and the tweeters alone are worth twice the price of the pair of speakers. In any case, either is worth the money, and sound good for their size. If not already done, be prepared to spend a few bucks to refoam the woofers and probably mids... cheap if you can DIY, and still makes them a bargain.

If it IS an emit, forget about price... you won't want to sell them! I have a kappa video center with an emit of that era, and I absolutely LOVE it!!!!! The mids from this era are also pretty smooth - not harsh like so many current speaker lines.
I know what you mean... I LOVE and collect big old Infinitys, and IMHO there has been no better tweeter built than the EMIT. My current collection: RSIb, RSIIb, RSIIIb and two pairs of Kappa 9's...

I found the Ebay flooded with unsold Emit tweets, when I was thinking about selling my RSB 6 speakers. Donated them to my church for a sale instead. That being said, Emit tweeters are very nice to listen to.
I guess better luck next time.....

This is the truth. I think Infinity made a ton of them. I see them pop up at garage sales and thrifts on a semi-regular basis. I passed on a pair of 2000's at GW the other day for $13, because I don't need another set of bookshelf speakers, and they needed a re-foam. Since the 2000's are polycell tweets (and I already have a set of poly spares from a part-out), that was also a deciding factor. If it had been the bigger models with the emits, I would've bought them and found a reason to use them (or part them and save the emits for something fun)!
