I can never understand the concept of placing gear on the floor. Seems to be usually the more expensive gear that ends up just lying on the floor between the speakers.

Nice system though.

As to the floor thing, it takes care of vibration and other resonance issues,
not to mention the big time weight thing.

Interesting that Infinity used Solen caps in these $50,000 speakers yet they get a bad rap here in the DIY forum for not being esoteric (expensive?) enough :)
 
Audiogon Blue Book says the used average price is $16,380. I think the boy is very much dreaming at $45,000.

Audio Classics sold a set recently, and while I can't recall the exact price, it was around $20K, and that was from a dealer.
