Hi, just signed up and am looking for information about this console I bought. It is in really good condition with the exception of all the wires have been cut and the turntable needs a new arm and a record pad. The name of the radio is AMC and Telefunken anybody can help me that would be great. I want to refurbish it so I can sit on my sofa and have a dirty martini or whiskey on the rocks.

If all the wires are cut I would guess the previous owner knew there is a problem with the electronics. Check the electronics for burnt parts or give it the old sniff test for smoke or burnt parts. If there is a fuse check that too. a variac and dim-bulb power unit would be HIGHLY suggested when powering up for the first time. Probably want to replace filter caps prior to powering up.
A quick search on eBay came up with some TW504 Record players. Probably best to buy a full unit. It may be hard to get an arm and then install it correctly.
these old console units are cool and fun to have and some can sound really nice. More pics could be helpful to help determine the state of the unit.

As we all know, just about anything can be fully restored, if not, at least to some degree of originality.
Although not impossible but yes it may be difficult to have the radio and record player restored and totally functional.
The thing to consider is, are you willing to put in the amount of money $$ and or time to have this done?
That's the bigger question, that is if you want the original radio and record player to be fully functional.
If that task seems a bit much to tackle then maybe consider finding a good tech to accomplish this?
If not, then maybe remove the radio and install a nice stereo receiver, simular in size, as well as a turntable in place of the old one's?.
Also not mentioned are the console's speakers?......what condition are they in?.....you might also consider replacing those as well with new ones.
Whatever direction you decide to take, please keep us posted with updates, pictures, etc. on your progress.
I know for a fact that "I" would like to see the progress and finalization of the restoration.
