Inherited Marantz Set

My grandfather recently passed and with that, my grandparents estate has been available for the family to take what we want. Aside from some old tools and keep sakes, I kept this Marantz audio system. They have had it as long as I can remember - I imagine it may be older than I am (1987).

I am having a hard time finding any info on it, and it seems as well the left channel is not working.

ST-150 tuner and PM-150 stereo amplifier - they seem firmly attached to one another? Is this one unit or two?

TT251 Direct Drive Turntable

SD255 Dual Stereo Cassette Deck

CD-152 Compact Disc Player

2x SP1500 speakers

I have it all hooked up and so far, I have only tested the tuner and amplifier. They seem to be working great, except the left channel isnt working.

The amplifier has outputs for two speaker pairs. Initially, I noticed my grandparents had them hooked up to right channel system 1, and right channel system 2. I hooked them left/right on system 1, only to find left isn't working, so I moved them back.

Additionally, I tried plugging in headphones to the phones out and only got audio from the right side.

And so with all of this, I have a few questions.

1. Am I better off trying to repair this myself, pay to have it repaired, or buy a new tuner / amp?

2. Approximate dates? My guess is that these range in date from 1978 - 1988.

3. Are there any good bluetooth receivers you could recommend that would hook to the spare aux/video inputs on the amp? I record music, as well as subscribe to streaming services, so I'd like to be able to stream from my phone as well. Even better if something had additional input options, such as SD card or USB.

First sorry for the loss of your grandfather, its never easy.

Second, try pushing every button and moving every slide on the amp a bunch of times and see if that gets the channel back. If it does it will need to be cleaned better with DeOxit etc.

Third, this is a system from a department store or big box retailer we call them now more than likely. Not that it wont sound decent its just not going to be worth a lot if you decide to have it repaired kind of thing. But of course we all understand sentimental value too and it being your grandads and all. He obviously took good care of it and had pride of place in the house.

Try the simple stuff first, work them buttons and slides.
