Innotech D24's?

[davelarz]

Anyone familiar with these - there's a pair for sale near me and they look kind of impressive. No info anywhere though. Here's what the ad says - pic below:

"Pair of Innotech D24 speakers, designed exclusively for Innovative Audio audio video showrooms by Mr. Shahinian of Shahinian Acoustics LTD. That was their own in-house hi fidelity speaker, next to the B&W KEF Linn and other offerings at the the time. In pretty good shape, all drivers work perfectly, 3 out of 4 dust-cups on the woofers have been pushed in but they are stable and do not rattle or otherwise affect sound. The drivers are by KEF. Bass reflex loaded, I suspect via transmission line, with port on the bottom, impressive sound and image."

interesting. too bad they are not mirror imaged...

Shahinian used a combination of a quasi trasmission line and a bass reflex in his speakers. some argue that they are not transmission lines. they are also not mass loaded t-lines ala MJK.

but his speakers have good bass response.
