In the early/mid-eighties I did have quite a list of "I want to audition a pair of these...." speakers. I would read Stereo Review and Audio and ended up with subscriptions for a few years. I found the reviews and technical info really fascinating and a very enjoyable read. The trade off for deciding on what to buy was working to pay for it. At that time I was working a lot of overtime. Not complaining about working, but it can limit the free time for auditioning speakers a little bit. It's been years since I've been inside an audio dealer store. With sites like AK, Audiogon and even that auction site a lot of exceptional gear can be had for not too much money. Sorta like being in a candy store..... At least that's been my experience. And being able to chat with a legend like Ken. Two thumbs up...:thmbsp::thmbsp: Thanks to OP Wigwam for starting this thread. Brings back a lot of fun memories.
