Interesting Speakers on Atlanta CL

My post on this would be - "Look at what I just scored for $200 bucks".
I'm tempted to ask you to go get them for me and let's make some arrangements afterwards. Hmmmmm….

LOL, he now edits the ad for $350 per set. I hope the dummy gets stuck with them now.

He simply didn't know what he had and doesn't know what it's worth. He probably knows it was worth $200 though. If it's all sitting there for awhile, the price will creep down and he'll eventually sell the gear. It would have been a great $200 score though. He probably got too many emails too quickly. Too much demand sometimes alerts the seller and the price goes up.

Amps need work. They look to be missing the fuse cover from the back, knobs are also missing. The amps also require a dedicated pre amp that sends a signal to turn them on. Or, you have to bypass a relay inside with jumpers. The fact that they tried it with some amp is of some concern, as the dedicated amps plug into the back of the speakers with snap connectors.
Also, keep in mind, these are not the tube Acoustat, but the solid state Acoustech speakers. They do sound great when working.

It's strange, but the attached map to the CL ad shows them to be underwater, not such a bargain if true.:scratch2:

Storage Unit purchase, it seems. And stored in wood crates lined with McIntosh boxes? These have a story.
