Before I ask my first question, I’d like to introduce myself. I am in Sacramento, CA and I bought my first stereo system in my mid-20’s sometime back in the mid-80’s (very foggy about specifics). Anyone here from Sacramento remember Keith Yates Audio?
I had a Luxman R-113, entry level Nakamichi cassette player and Kyocera CD player, playing through DCM Time Frame speakers (350s or 500s, not sure) and Stax headphones. Like I said, I’m a little foggy on the details. Over time equipment died or was sold off, a girlfriend became my wife and other life stuff…
Long story short, I now find myself with a Sonos system running through two Emotiva A-100 amps playing through a pair of Martin Logan Motion 35XTi speakers.
Here's my not complicated system.
I have the two amps because of the setup I had in my pervious house where I used them to power speakers in two different rooms.
For a while in my current house one of the amps sat in a closet, cold and sad. I had a brilliant idea a couple months ago – let’s bi-amp my speakers! I bought twice as much speaker wire than I need
and pulled the sad and cold amp out of the closet and wired up my speakers. I think they’re better, but that’s not where this story ends.
