Hey everyone,

Totally new to the forum and the world of vinyl! I currently have a Harman Kardon ST-8 turntable with vintage Kenwood kL-7080 speakers. Both have been refurbished and gone through and will make for a really great setup! I’ll need help picking out a vintage receiver/amplifier to appropriately match my set up which is the main reason why I joined! Really excited to learn what I can and possibly start on some diy projects in the future.

All the best to the AK community!

Welcome!!

If you haven't already, post in the Solid State or Tube section, with questions/ 'looking for suggestions for a receiver/ integrated amp.. possibly a preamp/ amp combo..' then state your $ range and I'm sure folk will chime in!

Thanks for the suggestion Monad!

I was looking for similar a while back, got a bunch of great suggestions for the three options, receiver/ integrated/ separate preamp/ amp.. ended up with a Schiit Freya off the subscriber section Barter Town.

if you can swing it and are in the market for gear, becoming a subscriber for $25, gets you access to the paid sections. So far this year, I've sold gear totaling $700, which saved me 10% in ebay fees or $70. The cool thing is the section is a paid section so, everyone in it is credit card or paypal validated. Also, cool gear gets sold there for less than the same gear gets listed for elsewhere, increasing the savings. Best $25 I spent this year..

Thank you! I’ll keep that in mind. Still exploring the site on mobile but will get a better feel when I get to my computer!
