Good day to you all! I want to introduce myself after visiting the AudioKarma forum for information and reviews over the last years.
I am Richard, born in the '80s and live near Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Particular areas of interest related to 'Audio'; Speakers & amplifiers.
Over the last couple of years (not even decades, but more in the range of 5 - 7 years), I've owned 250+ sets of unique speaker sets. And about 25 speaker types, I've owned multiple times. You will recognize how this works... You sell a set because you're not fully satisfied with the sound they give. After you sell the set, you think; Mmmh, was it this bad after all? And you buy the same set another time to try them out again. (and usually end up selling again
). So, more than 300 sets of speakers in total (I have a list).
What type of speakers? Basically everything I wanted to try out between the years 1960 and current. A very positive review in e.g. WhatHifi or real HiFi magazines gives me a big push to try these out at least once! From different vintage B&W's speakers to tiny Realistic Minimus. From vintage Telefunken to modern Sonus Faber's. And from Eltax Monitor III to Bang & Olufsen.
I like these in the best shape possible (like new) and I do know the sets from the outside as well as the inside (cross-over filters, damping material, units used).
Furthermore, when working from home, I want to try our different amplifiers. And in particular the vintage amps. I own a Tandberg, Rotel, Luxman, Marantz PM Class-A, Pioneer SA's, JVC, Technics, and Harman Kardon.
Hope that I can contribute to the forum when there are questions. And that it will be a nice experience on the forum.
