My name is Richard. I have a history with sound reinforcement on and off for over 50 years. From medium/high end home stereo equipment in the mid-late 70s, to building a home recording studio all analog. I write songs.
I have a collection of 8-track sessions with a group of professional musicians, some are living and others have passed. Most of our old work has not yet been mixed down. I have an ok vinyl collection from the 70-80s. So, two distinct audio genres that were moved from Ft. Collins, CO, to Naples, FL with a trail of towns between.
I finished school that started in 1972 and ended at FGCU in the Class of 2007. There I served as the editor-in-chief of our weekly newspaper for two years.
I want to evaluate, the equipment, restore what’s appropriate, and likely sell some and set up both the recording studio and my home vinyl sound.
