iPod run through Graphic EQ

Hey all... New to the audio game and I just scored a mint Pioneer VSX-9500s Receiver and Pioneer GR-777 EQ off Craigslist for $100...LOVE the look of 80s-90s displays and I could watch the bars pump all day on the EQ... I plan to use them to play small Patio Speaker and a set in my garage. I don't have an amp or a tape deck. Is there a way to run my iPod through the EQ?

Is it as simple as running the iPod in the EQ inputs, the EQ outs to the the tape or CD inputs on the receiver?

Do i need an amp and tape deck?

Thanks!

You can run the EQ on a tape loop from receiver and connect phone to auxiliary on receiver with 3.5mm/2 rca jacks cable.

Thanks Dave... love how active this forum is.

I don't have an AUX input on the receiver but will use the CD inputs... (no disc changer).

So ipod to the CD input; run TAPE 2 out (PLAY) to the inputs on the EQ; the EQ out to the TAPE 2 inputs(REC)? Then to use iPod with EQ... be on CD on the receiver and have the tape monitor function on?

the rear of the EQ has 8 jacks... 2 sets under EQUALIZER and 2 sets under TAPE
