"Is anyone still interested in these stereo systems?"

[Gnesen]

From a local CL listing:

Is anyone still interested in these stereo systems? I realize they are obsolete now because of their size. Like most everyone else, we replaced this with a new, much smaller shelf unit. Let me know if you're interested or if you need more details on this Kenwood system. Thanks, Kevin

Um, yes! Maybe not that specific system at that price, but, in general, yes. No affiliation. Just thought I'd share.

It's a fair question. BPC stacks are a tough sell.

My initial reaction was the same as yours, though that amp looks interesting and I'm guessing the system sounds better than appearances would suggest. Regardless, in my experience a lot of people today don't differentiate between older quality gear and the newer 'BPC' (and, yes, there is quality 'newer' gear from the '80s and '90s too), they just view it all as large and obsolete relative to modern shelf systems. Thus the qualified 'yes' to the CL question.
