Is it NIB... or not?

A recent acquisition with the matching pre-amp, tuner and CD player. Has the inner and outer boxes too. Not NIB, but darn excellent condition and sounds as good as it looks. :D
 
I have fond memories of opening the boxes on many new pieces of Pioneer gear thru the mid and late 70's.

Spec1, Spec4, SX-1250, CT-F900, SG9500 and 9800, RG-1 RG-2, TX-9500 and many more.

ALL of them came factory sealed with Pioneer's proprietary, monogrammed packing tape. White tape with blue Pioneer logo for the sole purpose of determining whether a unit was factory new.

If the seal is broken, it's the same as titling a new car. It ain't new no more!
