Is it possible to make new VU Meter templates

Have a Kenwood Eleven GX on the bench, during it's life someone must have left it on for a couple weeks. The VU meter templates (thin vinyl backgrounds behind the needles) have heated and crinkled, impeding the needles travel. I cafefully removed the templates, but the they're so crispy that they crumbled after minor handling. Does anyone know of a suitable fix action? The meters work fine, just need to replace the backing with meter numbering scheme.

Paint Shop Pro, inkjet printer, vellum or some resilient media, and a lot of trial and error.

Sure, you could do it.
 
I've taken meter scales off and scanned them at about 400+ DPI and used an editing program to change the numbers\letters etc. and printed it out on glossy photo paper.

Everything sounds soo complicated, my post was a cry for help or donation...LOL :music:
