Is It Really A Broken Record?

Okay I play a record on my Garrard Lab 80 (Shure M91ED / Elliptical tip @ 1.5g VTF / Antiskate: 1g) and I hear that broken groove that repeats forever.
I put the same record on the Thorens TD 124 and get the same result (SME 3009 Improved/ Shure M95ED / Elliptical tip @ 1.25g VTF / Antiskate: 1g).

But finally, I put the same record on the Garrard A70 (Shure M35X / Conical tip @ 2.0g VTF / Antiskate: 1g) and the broken groove is not broken anymore as it moves on.

Now, when is a broken record really one? Because all the broken ones that my other TT recognizes, my A70 doesn't recognize them as broken :scratch2:

Just for the sake of playing the record on the 124 and 80, have you thoroughly cleaned it? I've come across both new and old vinyl that had a little stubborn piece of dried something or other that needed to be scrubbed off.

I know, some of them got dried debri that I could take off with my fingernail and then the record would just be fine. But others, I can't see any debri or obstruction to the touch, and yet is broken (but only on the Lab 80 & TD124).

So can we deduce to say that the A70 is the ideal player?
OR ...
... is there such thing as a broken record if you have the right plow? :D
