Is repair for Onkyo TX-866 amp/tuner worth it?

I bought an Onkyo TX-866 tuner/amplifier used from an old lady at the side of the road for $17.

It didn't work properly so I had it checked and the repair guy is asking for around $35.

So I was wondering if its sound quality is worth the hassle/money. I found a similar item on sale here

I rescued one of these from the dump, cleaned her up, shazaam.......kicks butt!

It is rated at 80wpc @ 8ohms, .04 thd. I think it sounds pretty good, and it has Pre-amp in/out. 52 bucks for an 80 wpc aint too bad, if your tech gets it working properly.

These are very nice receivers, definitely worth repairing. $35 is a bargain to repair it.

$35 for a repair?!? That's the diagnostic charge for the techs around here. Do it!
