It is not my intention to drive you guys crazy, but to pick your collective brain a little. If I am, I apologize 
Given the opportunity, would you choose the C1100 or still look for a different McIntosh preamp to pair with the MC1.25KW amps. I know the C1100 is a stellar performer from friends who own it.
My stereo is on 10-15 hours a day and almost all weekend. Even though there are plenty of tubes in the C1100, I feel maintenance would not be too much trouble. I don't need a phono stage right now, but maybe in the future, so the phono tubes would be wasting away.
If the C52 had the new replaceable DAC module, I would have already ordered it and waited to see what comes next from McIntosh.
