Is this a Monoblock tube amplifier & who made it?

Just got my hands on this nice piece, came from a collector estate but I do not know nothing about it. Went online but the only one who look's like is the Heathkit W-1 or W-2 or W-3M?
I am sure someone knows about it on AudioKarma.

It's a heathkit layout.
Williamson Ultralinear.
Mono
Looks to be a diy.
The beauty is in the Acrosound transformer. That was top of the line for its day.

This is only an amplifier and requires a separate power supply. Did you get the power supply? Acrosound output transformers are highly desirable.
I'm a little jealous.

Inspecting the photos closer reveals not only the power in, but the output to the preamp.
Looks to have live pins above chassis. Hopefully I'm mistaken.
Certainly they aren't that dangerous without the power supply.

1/4 inch jacks look to be bias or balance test jacks and the male octal socket looks to be the power in. It only needs 6.3 volt, B+ and ground which it looks to have.

The power supply would have a female octal socket which plugs into the male octal socket.

I have seen Altec and McIntosh amps like that but might be Heathkit as it has screws instead of rivets.

Chassis doesn't quite look like a Heathkit, but its very possibly an exact clone. There were a lot of Williamson amps that were kissing cousins back in the 50s. It looks fairly tidy inside, some were an absolute mess under the hood.

The Heathkit W3, which used the Acro OPT, is much smaller than that. Some DIYer gave himself a bit more room to work in. ;-) That's in incredibly good shape, though.

Love those vintage Mallory cans. I'd keep them and hide new 'lytics, under the hood.

It's pretty clearly a stock Heathkit W3AM circuit, except that he's increased the first two coupling caps to .25 instead of .01 for better low-frequency stability. That could easily be modded to Dave Gillespie's specs in his "A New Beginning" thread. If you're so inclined you could build a power supply for it. A Hammond 273BX power tranny, a 193D choke, a 5AR4 rectifier and an 8uF Solen cap. That's all you need. ;-)
