Some were done quite well. Many, not so much. Really dependent on the source (board, audience, on stage monitors, IEM devices, multiplex arrangements -usually by the bands, of course), the time period (equipment @ the mixing board & audience levels have improved so much over the last 20 years), the room/setting (acoustics qualities, indoor v. outdoor venues), and in the case of audience tapers, being in the right seat. :thmbsp:
