Is this console worth it?

It looks pretty nice....I see Scott on the TT but the paperwork says Garrard?? Hell the vinyl may be worth the look. Good luck.

The last time I offer him $200.00 because I think the speakers might be worth something. Because the Scott receiver is worth about $75-&120 that Garrard TT is about $50.00 if there's a pair of AR 2AX in there than I am good. The records could possibly be worth something, but he just wrote back saying he wants to see more offers. I hate these kind of people. They don't want to pay Ebay fees but they want you to bid on their items. I am not going to buy from him.

In reality his ad should be flagged cause he has no price on it. CL rules say the price needs to be listed.

The only thing "from England" about that console is the turntable, which is not one of the better Garrards.

And I certainly wouldn't bet the ranch on there being any AR's inside...

$75. Because the cabinet is quasi-snazzy.

I'd personally pass. The turntable isn't much, and I wouldn't offer money on a guess that there are decent speakers in there. Some of these Copley models came with Dual 1019's, which might make me think there was a speaker upgrade. With the ho-hum Garrard, I'd guess they didn't spring for nicer speakers either.
I can't see the receiver well enough to be certain, but it looks like an early SS model, which gets a meh from me. If it's a stereo tube amp that works, it would be worth the money if you're willing to put project time into it.
The time it would take to go through a few hundred records, pick the ones I want, and then sell the rest probably wouldn't be worth my time.
The other possible value here is in the cabinetry. It's got a cool look to some people and could be a candidate for an electronics upgrade. Because of the orientation of the receiver and the way it's constructed, it would be really easy to slip in another receiver. You could go with anything with the same or smaller width and almost anything at all on the height.
But again, I'd pass.

It is a 1969 Scott and is an excellent sounding console, the speakers are Scott,
forget the model number, but they are the same that Scott sold separately for
about $200 pair at the time.
Some had Duals and some had Garrards, the cartridge is the same, a Pickering
V15 series.
