Is this possible, XLR for sansui au d33

Hello good people.
I have a question for you.
I have seen a lot of sansui amps having XLR inputs on the back for straight to power Amp. I am wondering if it is possible to do the same thing to sansui au d33. I may not fully understand this, but to me it seems like it is a differential amplifier design all the way till outputs. So could I in theory connect the differential signal from my source directly to the power amplifier bypassing most of the preamp. Or it would not work with a fully differential signal, because of it being class ab amplifier. So far to me seems like I could just hook the XLR inverted and noninverted signals directly before resistors kr 44 and kr43. Though also don't quite know which is in erted and which is noninverted signal sides.

There may be a way to implement XLR connectors on an AU-D33, but I can say with considerable certainty that what you are suggesting will not work.

I think your suggestion would interfere with the bias set point, and may unbalance the DC conditions of the amplifier and other undesirable effects. In short you are trying to eliminate/bypass some of the circuitry that makes the power amp into a power amp.

Is it worth the effort?
My understanding is that there is no advantage in using XLR connectors in the domestic environment. It can give lower noise in noisy/studio environments, longer runs with lower loss, and connectors have the advantage of being 'lockable' but that's about it.

Thank you, had a suspicion this would be the case. Would have been to simple.
Was hoping of somehow hooking up my differential source to it without op amps in the way.

You're in luck then.
Although the D33 does not have XLR inputs there are no op amps in this amplifier accept for the phono amplification. The control amp is just that, no amplification not even a transistor. The tone control is in the feedback circuit. So technically with tone control off you get really close to source direct.
