is this the well renowned Vivid line LP gear 681EEE stylus?

http://www.lpgear.com/product/STNS681EEE.html

My 681EEE arived in the mail today, but sans stylus.

theres a few more on the site that seem to be similar, or the the same thing. all are the same price, which just confuses me even more.

are those all the same vivid line stylus, but made for the 681EEE-S and EEES MK II-S? I've read that all of the 680 and 681 styli are interchangeable

the first one is the VividLine stylus. I have one, and it doesn't suck. I have that, and a couple of old stock D6800EE stylii and it compares favorably. The VL stylus does seem to run a little deeper in the groove though so it will pick up dirt and such that the OEM Stanton stylus does not.

don't know what the difference is between the three. At the same price, I can't help but suspect there is none. In original form, the EEE-S and the EEE-S MKII are both a stereohedron tip, which is Stanton speak for shibata. It was the top of their line. Don't know what differentiates the EEES and the EEES-2 but someone here probably will. Those stylii would have been considerably more expensive than the D6800EEE was when new.

and yes, any 680 or 681 family stylus will work in any 680/681 body. Pickering XV-15 stylii also work, though they do look different.
