Is Walkman spoken here?

I have four or five "expensive when new" Walkmen and would like to get two of them back into working order. Those would both be Sony's - a TPS-L2 and a WM-D6C. I have no desire to delve inside either myself because I can't cope with parts that small.

From personal experience, can anyone recommend such a thing as a Walkman repair specialist?

I did attempt belt replacement on the TPL-S2 but got cold feet and took it to a local shop. Supposedly the belts were installed but the transport was not really any better. They said the unit needed cleaning. I believe the WM-D6C also needs belts. Seems to FF & REW but no take up tension when playing a tape.

Better to get D6C working than TPS-L2 as the latter only got more popular because of GOTG. Idiots are obsessed with the skyrocketed prices.

Had to get inside my WM D6c once to replace the mic jack and freeup the rewind mechanism, replace belt. Would not want to do it again.
