Is X10 still a thing? Anyone use this ancient stuff?

I was thinking about adding a few things to a "home automation" idea but i surely do not want WiFi or IOT products. I recalled the old X10 system the Rat Shack used to peddle. I see there are parts available.... amazingly.

I'm wondering if any of the old timers here are still using X10? Is it viable today?

Right - I found that they still make the stuff. I was more wondering if anyone is using it, that can report on reliability or bugs?

I assume most people long ago converted over to "Wifi" systems considering all the RING components etc. Stuff is quite cheap on Ebay,
 
Thanks Todd. I think I might pick up some old gear on Ebay and see how it works. I just have some lamps and things I want to control. The old crap looks cheap enough to try without spending much.
