Issue with Sony XA5400ES

Hi folks,
I have an older Sony XA5400ES SACD; great player; sounds wonderful. But now it's having an issue.

When I play a disc I hear a "whirring" noise; it's not the disc itself - it's more of a mechanical sound - faint - but getting more noticeable. I hear it even when I pause the disc.

Any ideas what this could be? Is this a transport issue? Something else? The good news is the player is reading and playing discs fine.

While I have you, does anybody have a recommendation for a good service tech/company that could potentially look into this? I realize this is an older unit but I'd like to have this repaired, if possible.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Maybe it's a motor.

As for repair, have you looked for anyone?

I found this youtube electronics tech who repairs most consumer components. He seems to know what he's doing. Maybe you could reach out and see if he might be willing to help. Here's the channel.

When you "pause" play the disk still spins. Does the sound go away when you hit stop? I don't believe the disk spins when it's in "stop" mode. If the sound goes away in stop mode but is there in pause or play, it's the drive motor for the disk. Could just be lubricant drying out.
