Welcome, from Kenosha, WI. (you might consider filling in your location, at least approximate)

I like your vintage stack there, esp. the LaserDisc hat! :-)

My aunt gave me a Pioneer SA-1050. I blew up the GPX speakers I had. Soon I started taking speakers out of TV’s on the curb and “installing” them into cardboard boxes from Fedco or Price Club. I had a real problem. I even started mowing lawns at 11 just to buy some new Sony large bookshelf’s from Circuit City. That was almost 30 years ago now.

I can’t help it  I've lost all control. I have an addiction and I really hope you guys can help me - get more awesome gear. Haha

Hi I’m Adam and I’m an audio/Hi-Fi nerd.

So you're saying you started late in life, we all have our faults:D

I just noticed that Spectrum Analyzer hanging on the wall. That's nice.. I just brought those up the other day in a thread about meters...

Oh, is that one strictly a level meter, or does it have the option to switch to a true spectrum analyzer @PioneerFreq ? I had been looking at ones that are true spectrum meters, and also thought about a DIY build.. Some had also linked to one that is flame powered... even cooler, but maybe not so living room friendly..LOL...

Nice, yeah this place is pretty alright. Welcome...nice setup...I also always seemed to be interested from a young age. Purchased my 1st system at a southern California swap meet, it rocked my one and only rush album, 2112. Yeah, good times.

Yer in good company among us fellow nerds. Many of us have lost control, but back in the day it was a hell of a lot cheaper & easier to scratch the itch compared to modern times. Ah, hell- it's only $$, a renewable resource for the resourceful. (& still employed)
