I ending up rebuilding the crossovers in my Dynaco A-10 speakers, because BOTH inductor coil broke loose during my move West!?
Amazing enough, I actually had the right size Sidewinder inductor coils and Dayton polypropylene caps at home, to completely rebuild/refurbish the Dynaco A-10 crossovers.
While I had them tore up, I went whole-hog, and replaced the original Seas H87 mid-tweets with modern VIFA D27TG-35 1" silk dome tweeters.
I put the Dynaco's back together, then hooked them up to my 10 watt tube mono blocks....sweeeeet!!

That is, until one of the Seas woofers starting loudly buzzing.....WTF!!!???
So.....I swapped Seas woofers.....and the loud buzzing followed it to the other cabinet.....NUTS!!!!!
Stuuupid me!!
Probably just blew the voice coil with too much/loud volume!?
Lotsa luck finding a 6 1/2" SEAS Alnico replacement woofer, huh?

OY VEY!!!
Steve :sigh: :tears: :nono:

Not necessarily, but if you can't find one on that auction site, a fellow member may be able to supply you with one. Another alternative might be to substitute the very fine EPI/Genesis woofer that comes in the EPI 70/Genesis V6. Heavy, square magnets. May in fact, be superior to the original SEAS.

You might try rotating the driver 180 degrees to see if the voice coil is rubbing due to the suspension relaxing...

LOL!! Funny you should mention that!?

I just did that earlier today, and the voice coil stopped rubbing!
I just wished I had thought of that yesterday?
