It's a Fisher! Stereo cabinet...

I have been looking for a nice upright cabinet for a while now, just got this at Goodwill and it is really solid. The glass is in perfect shape, all the hinges are there, and the shelves are intact. Only defect is some scrapes and chipping of the veneer on the rear corner.

Tomorrow morning I am going to put the downstairs system in it and level the turntable and enjoy my new Fisher.

Thanks! I have it all set up and am quite pleased, It will help keep some of the dust off my components.

I was reading the thread about racks and sound quality and was quite amused, here I am with my $12.00 30 year old rack, it is US made :yes:

It's a nice rack, :thmbsp: however, electronics are quite literally, dust magnets. The electrostatic charges they make attract dust, and short of a sealed cabinet, you will get dust. :sighYou did notice the back of your cab is wide open?) While having three side covered may keep a little dust off, it will not stop it.

BTW Covering the back is not a good idea either as you will kill off the ventilation needed to cool he gear. I suppose a sealed cabinet with forced air cooling and HEPA filter would help, but short of that, expect to still need to dust!
