It's so cold.

July 2nd and it's 53f this morning. Calling for a high of 81 today. I am loving the unseasonably cool weather. Usually in July we are roasting

18 degrees Celsius and very dry with a light 'lazy' breeze (all windows shut). Brrr.

Ok we're wimps. Regards, Felix aka catman.

It is July here (supposedly summer) and we dream of "18 degrees with a very dry light lazy breeze". In fact we dream of any weather providing it doesn't involve rain.

It's midwinter here and July is the coldest month of the year.

Temperature now here in Cape Town is 16C and for the past 3 nights when I put the car in the garage at around 2am, the temperature dropped to 9C. In the past, it has been 5C at this time of night.

I spoke to a friend in Johannesburg on Sunday and nighttime temperature is -5C.

This morning, I spotted this lizard sunning itself on the rubbish bin lid. They usually hide under the dog's wicker basket. I have also seen the dog and the lizard 'eyeballing' eachother - often only a few inches apart.

Live and let live...
