You know....I think I'll walk.

Another favorite short story from Isaac Asimov (1954).

The weather has been great. To nice to be sitting in front of a computer blabbing. So I'm taking a hiatus. I wanted to let you guys know that I haven't died or have gone mental or anything...just yet.

Life is out there, just gonna go grab a little more of it.

Hope you guys have a great summer!

:D

Hey Carl, before you go, there are a bunch of people dozing off in another thread waiting for you to hit 5,000 posts. Maybe go over and wake them up.

Oh, and yes, delightful avatar. :thmbsp:

Congrats on 5k. :smoke: Yep, it's supposed to hit the low 80's here for the next 4 days. We're generally happy to see it in the 70's, so this might be a little TOO warm for some of us. :D

Fricking gorgeous in MA today too. I had my usual stroll around the campus @ lunchtime.

The Asimov reference is lost on me(did you know he was a PhD biochemist)?

But... if you ever want to read a great sci-fi story about nice weather (also time travel and tragedy), there's an incredible novella called "Vintage Season" that I cannot recommend enough.

If the internet is to be believed, the authors were Henry Kuttner & C.L. Moore, writing originally as "Lawrence O’Donnell". I cannot confirm that as my paper copy is some miles away.

It's A Beautiful Day here in the midwest too... :thmbsp:
