You don't see these posted on CL everyday.

I am selling my audiophile quality HYDRAULIC TRANSCRIPTOR by J.A. MICHELL Engineering.
This is the same model as seen in the movie Clock work orange , very artistic design , looks as good as it sounds , I have had this for 15 years and it is time to sell off my listening system .
I am asking $1000.00 check e-bay these are rare and fetch a fair price.

No affiliation.

That's the Transcriptors "Hydraulic Reference arm". It's a damped uni-pivot design, IMO a better sounding arm than their more famous "Vestigial arm". Though the Vestigial is a good arm too... particularly if you have need of a really low mass type.

...Oh, and no, it's not bent (as far as I can see), that's the way it should look!

Actually the seller just pulled it. I was watching it, and last I saw it had three or four bids & was @ around $400-500, but still not having met reserve. The $1k price in the OP's CL add is a pretty fair price. I've been watching Transcriptors for a while, and there aren't many decent working models I've seen sell for under a grand... at least not on this side of the Atlantic.

I'm really hoping to come across a nice Micro-Tracer when I actually have the money available... so far the planets just haven't been aligned.
