Hi have a Jackson 648-1 tube tester haveing a problem trying to figure it out do you match your tube to the rolling chart,some how with the numbers on the unit, ben useing a Mercury 1100 easy look up the tube in the book shows setting for that tube done reason i picked this one up thinking it can preform better test once i understand how to use it,

Don't use the roll chart on the 648. Sometimes the data is wrong, and other times, it doesn't show early tubes (if you test those). Vacuum Tubes, Inc has created a complete updated manual organized in an easy fashion, and with most of the tubes you'd ever need to test.
