Hi, i don't know a lot about Jamo speakers. There is an ebay listing locally for a used pair of Jamo CD Power 25 speakers for $100.

Im after speakers to pair with a Marantz 1150 integrated amp to playback music and for movies etc.

Are these any good for that price?

Mwah... they're meant to look and sound impressive, but in reality are of the 'boom 'n tizz'-variety. Chances are the woofers need a refoam. For 100 bucks there are better loudspeakers out there.

Old thread I know. Bought mine around 1988 new and still run them, woofers refoamed.
Around about year 2000, I took them to the only reputable hi fi shop on gold coast looking to upgrade on the account that any new speakers would have to be better, and all failed, so i kept them.
Shop owner and I compaired about 6 different sets of speakers that matched woofer size or at least 8 inch including JBL and I forget the other big names, and my Jamo CD 25s won on my ears and the shop owners. How many shop owners would allow you to do that now or then?
So much BS in speaker talk, hence why i wanted to hear my speakers in same room as others on offer.
We compaired my set on A speakers and one other at a time on B speakers, switching between them in song to hear the difference. We even swapped speaker positions.
