I have an old Teac A4010S that came to me missing several parts and fasteners (screws).
I have a set of metric screws, including 2.5 and 3.0 diameters. The 2.5’s are just a tad too small, while the 3.0’s are too large-I would wind up damaging the threads, if I attempt to force them in.
I see that McMaster-Carr sells 2.6mm screws. (My choices are 2.5, 2.6 and 3.0)
I am hopeful the 2.6 will do the job properly, but wonder if others have been in the same situation. Has anyone found fasteners with other diameters than the range that I am seeing, from other vendors, for vintage Japanese gear?
