Jared's Home of Audio

I'm hoping to get my DBX BX-3 MKII back this week from the shop which I'm going to pair with an Adcom pre for my main system. Also, hoping to get some modded xovers in my Bozak B305's which will replace my AR's. Should be a pretty sweet combo I hope.

Arggg...I ended giving my 636 to my brother after him harassing me to get it so now I am ampless for the main system right now :( I am in the process of updating the wiring in my Bozak's and am awaiting the new crossovers. So hopefully by next week, the Bozak's will be back in the main system. I am not sure what would be the best match up amp/receiver wise for my Bozak's so I started a thread in the General section and hopefully I will get some recommendations from some people on the forum as to the best match up. Keep your fingers crossed for me and throw a suggestion at my thread if ya have any idea's. Thanks! :D

It is like walking through a Audio Museum! Very nice system and home.

Enjoy,
John.:music::D

Nice looking Hitachi turntable. They built some great stuff in those days, and it really flies under the radar.

I did some re-arranging today. I got my Optonica SM-7305 amp in the mail today from David and boy is that slim line amp a supriser! It weighed a ton and the sound is simply superb. So I replaced the SX-636 in my office setup with the Optonica and moved the SX-636 and Hatachi TT over to where my Master Bedroom setup is at and am now running my TF-500's off the Pioneer receiving signal from the front pre-outs on the HTR-5790. Im still waiting on my DBX amp for the main system unfortunately. Thanks for the compliments everyone. These audio components tht I have collected and the home I was able to buy have been a dream come true and I have members of the AK forum to thank for the audio portion of my home! :D I'll post some updated pics when I finally get me DBX amp back and setup.

i reckon those two little speakers with the inverted tweeters must have given some great imaging and depth where they were first placed...(no sidewalls to bounce off before the sound reached your listening chair) :thmbsp:
great systems and great living spaces btw :yes:

Another change in the main system. I got my Bozak B-305's up and going with some freshly modified crossovers, new internal wiring, and upgraded the speaker connectors from those crappy screw on connectors to 5 way gold plated binding post. I think I am going to recloth the grills on the Bozaks with the same cloth I used on my AR's to match. I also recently picked up a mint Kenwood KD-2077 TT which replaced my Dual TT. I also added a Yamaha EQ-500 in the mix which helped with the slight lack of crisp highs I am used to from the Bozaks. I finally got my DBX BX-3 MKII amp back which sounds wonderful with my matchup of speaker. I have everything ran into my ADCOM GTP-500II preamp. Here are some pics: (Did I mention I LOVE big VU meters!)

Swapped the Bozak's for a pair of Cornwall II's and replaced the Onkyo cassette deck with a beautiful, minty Technics RS-631. I will have a Sansui G-9000DB on the way soon which I may replace the DBX amp with. I'll try to get pics up tonight.

Looks really nice, and I'll bet it sounds great too.

BTW, I love what you did with the photography. Gives the pics that slightly grainy '70s-'80s feel.

It's the best sounding combo I've put together thus far. I've got a Ortofon 2M Blue cart coming hopefully tomorrow to replace my Grado Blue so that should improve the sound as well. I'm glad you noticed the photo effect I was going for. :D Thanks everyone for the compliments!

Office update. I switched in my AR Classic 5's in place of the Klipschs and am powering them with my Maggy 175 tube amp. This speaker/tube amp make a fine combo. As far as CPU updates, I replaced the memory with 16GB of DDR3 2133MHz memory. I added a second 128GB SSD in which I run both SSD's at raid 0, added a second 2TB platter drive which I also run both at raid 0, and lastly added a 3TB plater drive as backup for the system and the network.
