Jazz Fusion Playlist

Taku Yabuki - 2007 - Modern World Symphony
Little known Japanese keyboardist, studied at Berklee, plays currently with the spectacular KOENJIHYAKKEI A progressive band that has some inclinations towards Zappa's most ridiculous music, he has created some excellent fusion that features some very well know musicians and the music is enticing to say the least.

Excellent Jim! I saw them at a small venue in Evanston, Il in '75 one of my favorite concerts ever . . . they closed the evening with "Timeless" . . . those days!

A show of that magnitude for 3 bucks!!! Those were the days and not necessarily because of the prices but that talent!

Yes indeed! The first time I saw Weather Report was when Black Market dropped on a double bill with Return To Forever with their new Romantic Warrior lp in '76. I also saw WR with Shakti in '77 and again in '81. I was fortunate to live in inner city Chicago close to all the best venues . . . sounds like you were in the right place also.
