Hello, I recently scored a pair of JBL 4311s for free on the side of the road. after a little testing it sounds like one side has lower bass output than the other. Could this be caused by the crossover? Or will the woofer need replaced. I have tested with multiple amps and have the same outcome. Thanks

Take the woofers out of the cabinets and measure each one with a multimeter. Set the multimeter to measure ohms/electrical resistance (Ω). Note that this will be a measurement of the DC Resistance, not the impedance. The values between the woofers should be close if not identical. If there is a significant difference, then likely one has a damaged voice coil.
Swap the woofers from one cabinet to the other. If the low output moves with the woofer, its the woofer. If the low output stays with the cabinet, then its any electrical contact, L-Pad (although they primarily regulate the midrange and tweeter), or wiring. Since the woofers run full range, its only wiring for their signals.
Always double check that both channels of your amp are set to flat and equal volume.

See what woofer has the problem and buy the correct woofer on Ebay. You may pay close to $200 including shipping for the correct woofer but that would still make the overall price a deal. If they are really banged up with other problems it might make more sense to part out the good drivers and move on.
