I am looking for some speakers to match with a technics 5760 .I am considering JBL monitors as a possibility.I'm really not all that familiar with JBL s.This model seems to have a number of different versions ie 4312b.What are these speakers like?A pair is for sale locally for $250.Is this a good price?

I haven't heard them but if the cabs, grills and drivers are in good shape, that's a good price. Look on fleabay and see what these are going for. :yes:
 
Like GD70 if the condition checks out, that's a good buy.

The 4312A is a good speaker. I've never owned a pair, but a friend has them and they sound great. He has them paired with a Pioneer SX 939.
 
I love my 4312As. The A designates them as having titanium tweeters. Nice.

BTW, Very good price if they are nice ones.
 
Had the C and B. the B was mirror image. They were ok sounding for rock and hip-hop. I end up selling them both. For that asking price if they are in good condition it is about right.
 
I think mine sound exceptional --- and the imaging is superb --- soft or loud these speakers will not need a subwoofer to make them sound fuller. Bare in mind they were designed as near field monitors---if you're going to be using them in a large room I would look for another "big" jbl. I use them in my bed room and I'm no further than 12 feet away from them...very pleased since the driver alignment makes them pretty compact.
 
4312a is a "real" JBL pro monitor and at $250 is a steal, usually sell for $500+. To get the best out of them sound wise requires a very nice amp/preamp.

It's a very good price.. unfortunately in this town good deals like that disappear within minutes. Gotta be on the ball with Kijiji to score those ones.
